I really liked the spacious studio apartment. The kitchenette was super handy for preparing quick meals, making it feel like a home. Location is superb! Easy to walk to Gion, yet away from the tourist bustle. However, there were a few downsides. Check-in was tricky without anyone around. I used an iPad to communicate. The washing machine instructions were confusing, and I accidentally set it to a three-hour cycle instead of the quick one I wanted. Also, the decor felt bare which made the space feel a bit dull. Overall, there’s potential for improvement even though I enjoyed my stay.

The combination washer and dryer was incredibly handy for our family during our week-long stay. Being just a short stroll from Gion allowed us to easily explore local restaurants each evening.

The Studio Apartment at Sou Kyoto Gion was a delightful surprise! The location was fantastic, being just a 10-minute walk from Gion and having convenient access to buses and the train. The combination washer and dryer was a lifesaver, and the room itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with modern amenities.

Loved the modern, clean room and the fab location near attractions! Enjoyed walks to temples and the vibrant Nishiki Market. Plus, laundry in the room was a lifesaver!

i loved staying at sou kyoto gion! the studio apartment was super spacious and had a nice kitchenette. the location is perfect, just a short walk to gion and near a shrine. i also really appreciated the early check-in for a small fee, which made the start of our trip hassle-free.
